    Speedometer help

I just boughtmy car and it has a Viper T-56 tranny and spec 3 clutch. stock gears and different size tires. pontiac could not figure out how to get the speddo to read properly. (its off my about 30% of the real speed.) The car runs great and nothing else is wrong but I took it to a perfomance place and the guy said that he would have to do a full $400 dyno tune on it. This seemed excessive for changing only the speedo. can someone help.

Find out if the tranny is 1.00 in 4th gear like our stock T56 - probably is. Thinking all you need is to change the tire size. You can also try playing with a RPM/MPH calculator like www.f-body.org/gears/ it lets you change tire sizes then recalculate.

should it just be a matter of plugging in like an auto tap device and changing the ratios?
