Does this really do anything? Does it actually increase airflow? Any gains in horsepower?

The websites that sell it claim a ~5HP gain. I'm not really sure on that, but I think the SLP one at $69.95 for a silicone connector is a total rip off

yeah, you can get the part(s) to make it from a hardware store for around $5-10 bucks, and it has the same effect as the SLP bellow...

Does anyone have a pic of a homemade smooth bellow? Also what size fitting would I need?

Dusty...been sitting for a couple months for the most part.
    Mine is a 4" to 3".
Stock throttle body cars I believe need 3" to 3"
Might have to cut it down a little as well. Mine needed a little adjusting.

Thanks for the pic. I was just going to buy a SLP bellow, but I can't justify spending that much cash on some rubber. HomeDepot motorsports!

I don't think SLP is all bad. I am a fan of their loudmouth exhaust.

Just wait until you need to deal with their customer service.
Better parts can be had for cheaper from sponsors here.

Yeah, I've heard their customer service isn't too hot. I ordered my SLP Loudmouth through WS6Store, so I didn't have any issues.

    Service
    Lacking
    People

They have jerked me around not once but twice. You will not encounter a worse company to deal with. Instead of being honest and telling me they lost my order, they tried to lie and tell me my debit card was declined when I ordered my grill from them. Then after I faxed them a statement from Visa showing they had never attempted to bill me, they admitted their guilt but were still assholes so I canceled the order.

Second incident I wouldn't have even bothered dealing with them, but it was an insurance ordeal so I had no choice. They sent me a bent wheel in efforts to replace a damaged one I had from a wreck and then they did everything in the world to deny that they could have possibly had a faulty product. They tried blaming it on the shipping company, anything but themselves. The bodyshop manager had to take pictures and email them to SLP to convince them of the bent wheel then they wouldn't even pay the shipping to have the wheel sent. They have no idea what service is about.

I have never dealt with SLP before personally, but I have always got the feeling that since so many new LS1 and LT1 owners quickly buy up their products, that they essentially; have no time, or reason, to deal directly with the customer. SLP seems to be the "one-stop-shop" for F-body owners who are looking for performance parts.
I am not saying that I would never buy anything from them. All im saying basically is, you get what you pay for. and just because it says "S.L.P." on it, does not mean its going to be any higher quality than anything else out there. So with that said, im not surprised with their lack of customer service, It seems like they are too busy just trying to make money.

    SLP is for 'rookie' modders.
Those that have been doing it for a while know to avoid them.
They bank on those that, for lack of a better phrase, "Don't know any better."
As the 'rookie' modder gets less and less, SLP is getting less and less business.

Now...for those that still order from SLP...I am not trying to insult. Just trying to inform.
