Exclamation SLP cold air intake question

I have a 2001 trans am ws6 and i was wondering if a slp cold air intake would hurt the perfomance of the car since its basically already has an intake. And if it does how is it different then the FRA mod. Thanks for any replies.

I have the fast toys ram air which is basically the same as slp's. The FTRA and slp's cold air work along with the FRA mod...which you have to do to install either one.

They're both just a air duct that you put inbetween the condensor and the radiator...I chose the fast toys because it comes with a block-off plate and seals up better with all the seals they send you. http://thunderracing.com/catalog/?ac...vid=3&pcid=182

A factory airbox is restrictive so any type of aftermarket airbox is better.

I have an 02 WS6 and was going to do the FRA, but when I took my lid and filter out, it doesn't look anything like the pics i've seen. The plastic already has two large squares and nothing to cut out. Is it different for a regular T/A compared to a WS6. I hear everyone talking about the FRA, but don't see how it's done on a WS6.

I don't know about the '02 models, on my '99 I still had to cut that plastic piece. There was two holes in it already, but you're actually just making them larger. I wish I had pics to show you but I don't, sorry.
