    Slight collision :(

I was at work and stopped at a stop sign getting ready to turn right onto road and a friend smashed into right rear of car and trashed bumper and stuff.

Got quote from his insurance company and they told me the black lettering for pontiac on bumper is discontinued as well as the ws6 badge. Is this something they should pay for if I were to buy it online somewhere?
It just pisses me off that I can't have the car the way it was before collision unless I use some of my own money which is not a surplus nowadays.
Any thoughts on what to do?

Check with TS:S (Third Shift Studios or Afterthoughts, both Sponsors. I am sure they can help you get a quote for the badging or show you where you can get it.

    PONTIAC letters: ebay, $7.

ws6 badge: junkyard or google for one of the several companies that makes replicas

calling insurance company tomorrow morning and gonna try to make them pay as that was the condition prior to wreck and I've found the replacement parts online. Worst case, I'll goto ebay or something and junkyard for badge as I'm not paying practically $100 for it. thanks for the quick replies.

Would like to see a pic if you have one- how fast was he going? Was it just a tap that smashed it?

I would be so pissed! You should be able to find the letters and the bumper at some junkyard or something. Definitely check ebay. I saw keychains that said WS6 and WS7. I don't know what's a WS7, but if anyone can tell me I would appreciate it.

ws6 clone, coined by a dealership in florida that made faux ones when real WS6's were in short supply, the hoods came from suncoast creations.

I do not have any pictures on my laptop right now but I'll be sure to upload a few prior to getting damage fixed. He wasn't going very fast but was fast enough to push my car quite a bit while I was on the brakes and stopped. Anyways when I called his insurance company after my original appointment, I told them I found both of the parts available online and they said they will cover the cost of both. Just thought it was strange that I had to locate parts (super easy...) and a body shop wouldn't.

I have Farm Bureau with liability only on my car but my wife's car is full coverage as it's a 2010 Camry SE but fully paid off at least (both cars for that matter). His insurance is Progressive and I had to drive way out of my way after work to get there for a 45 minute appointment. Good news though, body shop is going to call me when all the parts come in. I'll drop it off and then just drop wife off at work and then use her car for however long it takes. I chose not to get a rental as it was more crap I would have to mess with and I'm leaving for vacation on 25th of this month not knowing status of parts and stuff.

you can find them anywhere on the web. I am sure there are some sponors on here that seep what you need and the insurance should reimburse you for it.

make sure they use GM parts. Insist on it. Other wise you'll regret it. make them show you a purchase order. to many shitty parts that fall apart 2 yrs after they are installed.

    My life is a
    Ben Stiller movie.

Sorry to hear about your accident! OE ws.6 badges are going anywhere from 100-150 now that they are discontinued. We can make a stainless steel replica for $80 but just can't mimick the snake-skin pattern on the letters. We have done lots of insurance help over the past few years.
