    my mind wasnt made up for either when i asked... and if i didnt think my career would afford the things i desire, then i wouldnt have chose it.

    obviously... i didnt say i dont know why they break down, the word "luck" is an expresion. but i have several reasons for driving the older cars that i do.

    Looks to me like you really want that LT1. I wouldn't do it because of the salvage title. You couldn't trade that in on a Vette if it ended up being that way. But, you could trade or sell your Mustang a lot easier. Then, you could build a LS1 drag car after a few months with the money you got out of the Stang. I've owned a lot of Stangs and a lot of Camaro's / Firebirds. For reliability I'd go Mustang pre LS1. But, if it was a LS1 I'd say Firebird. My LS1 has given me no problems at all. Including being modded slightly.

    BTW - What does that 400HP LT1 timeslip look like at the drags?

    if my memory serves me corect it runs low 8s in the 1/8 with stock gears (i forget the ratio) its got a lot more in it with a new opti and gears.

    the 400 hp is just a rough estimation, but ive seen it beat slightly modified ls1s many of times.

    industrial electrician is the title i guess. but ill be working with the automation in factories, particularly plcs (programable logic controlers), the computers that run the automation.
