Shock suggestion for 99' trans am (non ws-6)

Need to upgrade stock parts and need a decent suggestion.

    Added c-5 vette rims
tire sizes are 275/40ZR18 and 245/45ZR17
-Not a z-06 that the wheels came off

And in addition to shocks all around maybe add bumper stops on the rear.

Any suggestions would help. Price hard to say but if you have a similar car/tire setup and like it I would more easily commit.

    Thanks in advance!

If the car is to be used for everything else but heavy track or autox use then SLP Bilstein shock set of 4 (Strano Performance $385) will cover you.

If you're into heavy track, autox or street "activities" then Viking or Koni shocks.

For "bump stops" Strano sells a set of 2 for $28 but they do require some trimming of the location tab on the frame. It's not hard to remove and doesn't hurt the frame as long as you shoot it with some rust preventive and paint. I've had mine on for over 5 yrs now.

If you're looking at upgrading the shocks for handling you'll also need to look at springs. Everyone will have their favorites and some springs are for specific types of driving. Drag pack shocks are for the track. I am using Hotchkis 1" drop springs. For me they have performed very well on the street and hwy. Car drives like it's on rails going into turns, but then again I have quite a bit of suspension upgrades too.

+1 on the Bilsteins for street use.

I also suggest replacing the panhard rod (to a minimum of a UMI panhard, if not a watts link), control arms and spring isolators while you are at it. The bushings are probably toast by now.

Really just street use. Just want to replace existing and at the same time put on what others may have found to work well.

I would consider shocks and springs and do any suppliers offer a full "kit" you might suggest?

Link to what your suggesting below? I also have a call into Strano to order the other parts.
