    Shaving the emblems

Question? My friend and i were talking about shaving emblems off cars and mine came up in the convo. what do you guys think about it? on a ws6 i just wouldn't because i personally think everyone who owns a ws6 should be proud to show it but like mine being a ws7 it wouldnt be all factory so its already been tweaked and not as big of a deal removing stuff. i've never seen a 4th gen debadged, seen enough 3rd thanks to knight rider but in that sense how well do you think it could be pulled off with taking off the side moulding, filling in the rear pontiac, removing the filler panel badges, etc.?

I took off all my side molding, TransAm door emblems, WS6 emblem, and blacked out the filler panel between the tails. IMO its a much cleaner look than stock.

I don;t know about filling in the PONTIAC on the bumper though... I don;t think it would look good.

you could get away with it if you have the ws6 hood, but otherwise badges are the main way people walking by know you have the V8 since most don't know the front bumper/rear bumper differences. that is unless you have a loud exhaust and your car is on.

but this car doesn't really have anything too noticeable. the door emblems are low and aren't really noticed. i never noticed it until i washed the car for the first time.

I do like the trans am working on the door, but removed the side moldings. I have seen a Trans am with the lettering in vinyl on the front fenders over the black side vents in the old skool 70's lettering and it looked awesome IMO.

No. Refering to the piece of rubber that runs down the door....above the Trans Am badging.

Ha...i bet you were looking at it like "who the hell put modeling enamle in this thing?" God...that took like 2 hours to do...then the heat made some of it pull apart.

You should put a white bird/trans am on that filler-it looks aweseome against NBM I wanted to for so long and never got around to it.

how hard is it to take off that rubber molding? I'm interested now as long as there wouldn't be some groove where you could tell something was or suppose to be there

    Piece of cake.

No groove left. Just use some kinda of adhesive remover after removing it. Then wax it.

You can see the lack of it here.
