oh ok i see. Well when I bought mine they had that too. Many of the f body's do. Unfortunately that alone wont warrant a huge price decrease. But still if blue book or NADA is lower, I wouldnt pay more. Also private sales are supposed to be cheaper i believe. Good Luck

The owner wanted 15K but I offered him 14,000, which he took. I registered it here in Virginia for $370.00. Don't know what my personnal property tax ()is going to be yet. It shouldn't be much, my 2003 Vibe was around $100 and the T/A is older.

My 2002 Formula PP tax was about 220. They said my 2002 was worth more then my 2006 Trailblazer. Stang, you might want to look around a little more. You can buy a house in Detroit for 1000.00, I know someone is trying to unload a WS6. Proably get a 2002 for that.

Dude, I might be 44 and old fashion, but I usually look outside my backyard to find a deal. Most people selling there Firebirds have lots of money in them and believe they will get it out. Just because people are being stupid doesnt means you have to be. If people are asking a ridiculous price and will not negotiate means they do not want to sell. 2 reasons why people sell 1) they need extra cash, 2) something is wrong with car. How many times do you come in and say, man that car runs great, we have plenty of money, I am selling the car. 18000 for a 7 year old car, are they on crack.......oh yeah you live in Detroit.LOL

I drove 4 hours to pick up my car. Purchased off ebay from a dealership in N Carolina. Looked at a car near my house. guy wanted 32000. Guys wife was making him sell because he was changing jobs, he didnt want to sell it. He wasnt motivated. My van I picked up for 2000.00, NADA book was 4500.00. I looked for 2 months and saw it while driving in the country. The guy needed to come up with 2 grand or go to jail. He was motivated.

I know someone who just paid 14k for a 02 formula with 31k miles on it and it has some issues, would have easily gone for 18k plus if it was perfect. These cars are in huge demand ALWAYS i don't care how bad the economy is. They get great fuel mileage, fun to drive AND have fantastic RESALE VALUE.

Local Pontiac dealer gets 20k plus for ANY ls1 car under 50k miles.

No they dont, 14k is a good price for a perfect condition formula with those miles, you can find tons of deals. I paid 11,700 for my 2000 T/A with 48kmiles in perfect condition from a dealer 2 years ago.

There are a ton of WS6s on autotrader for under 17k with under 40kmiles from dealers. And there are even more z28s with under 50k going for under 14,000 dollars. I put in a 200miles search area from my zip, 98-02 camaro or firebird v8 only, under 60,000 miles for under 16k and i got over 50 finds and 38 of them were from dealers

If you like the car don't let 500 dollars kill the deal for you!

What can i say, dont go to that dealer?

Your in PA right? I used the zip code 17108 harrisburg PA and i got 27ls1 f-bodys found for 10k- 18k all at dealers with under 60kmiles on them. There are even a couple base T/As and z28s for 10k with 50kmiles on them. Average price was 15k from dealer with lower miles, from a private seller i see z28s going for 8-10k all the time with 50kmiles on them.

LOL the nice ones with low mileage are all over 15k! LMAO face it these cars bring a good dollar if they are in nice shape.

Another thing to consider when buying an 02 is the build numbers...only 901 formulas built in 02. last year cars ALWAYS are worth more.

Show me a nice black ta WS6 with under 30k miles for under 12k..............i'll take 2!

Never said you could get that from a dealer, he was looking private seller totally different.

You said my dealers gets 20k for any ls1 car with 50k or less miles and i just found 27 cars in your state that have that mileage or less and are going for 10-18k.

One of those cars on the list i posted is a silver z28 with 2100miles on it going for 16k lol Is that low mileage enough for you? Thats some great resale value you put 2100 miels on a car in 8 years and you only get half of what you paid for it.

F-bodys dont have great resale value but its not bad either. Its maybe a little better than average.
