    Dude it's the Red Dragon!

I'd keep it. LS1 cars are all over the place, but it's not often that one sees a 2nd gen in that nice a shape.

Sell the Cobalt, I see you live in NC, so there's no reason the LS1 car can't be your DD.

The ls1 has been put in alot of cars. Even import guys who know about v8s respect the engine itself, maybe not our cars but the engine is great in almost everyones eyes.

Well you gotta decide, to keep that cars value up you need to leave it alone. If you just want a nice day cruiser with some trq then that 79 t/a is good. But if you want a fast street car the ls1 f-body is hard to beat. Now if you want a full on drag car then either car is a good candidate

When we get the thing set and in primer, i will post some pics and take some offers. Color is not set in stone yet, i was gonna do black and gold as it seems the most popular, but paint isn't purchased yet. Working on a custom leather dash cover at this moment. If anyone is interested in something like this, shoot me a pm. I will post pics of that when we finish it. If it comes out good, it could be a good alternative to high priced future cracked dashes.

idk, i have an 09 cobalt (turbo) and that is pretty fast...
i like to cruze, but i love to go fast, and i want a V8 to mess around with thats easy to make fast, and i can tinker with...
but i love the originality of the 79
and i do want to keep it factory for good resale, and tight now i wouldnt get shit for it cuz this economy...
so idk what to do... haha

what i would do if i were you:
since you just purchased the cobalt, keep it, meanwhile sell the sunfire, save some cash, be patient, put some bolt on's on the 79, rumble around in that for a while, save more $ and maybe the ls1 bug will leave. If not, you will have some cash for one someday, they will always be there. DONT SELL THE 79!
