Rotoworks rotors
Anyone tried the rotoworks rotors from the ws6 store. Seems like a good deal at $99 for a front set. With drilled and slotted rotors can you still have them turned? I have also noticed that some rotor brands have a left and right side, why is this?

The cooling fins are directional on some rotors, hence the need for left and right. I have no experience with that brand -- recently installed R1 Concepts on our Trans Am. Went with slotted only though as drilled rotors are more prone to cracking.

Depends on the quality of the casting and the heat treatment, but as a general rule a drilled rotor is more prone to cracking than an undrilled one.

I wouldn't think any rotor would crack just on street driving, more like auto-cross with speeds of 150+mph with hard braking. I might look at some different rotors when I need to replace these. I think I may do two piece rotors when these wear out.

I bought my set of rotors from Rotor Works on Ebay in 2008. I have autocrossed/Tail of the dragon/ and drove over 30,000 miles of some hard driving...Had No Problems. I would buy them again.
