no that is when it does its worst and stays on the limiter...
if i shift by hand to second im fine but to third i can shift it at 3500 and it will wait till 58 to shift then it just rides on the rev limiter

turn traction control off and it is just as good. you know you said that an aluminum drive shaft came with the 3.23 performance axle. that is what i have in my car, and my drive shaft still looks dirty are you sure they came with aluminum drive shafts?

well that's what I've read before... and my car sat in a Rust Prone area of Puerto Rico... and it still looks normal...wich is a trate that I can atribute to Aluminum...

but I'm sure there's other people that can tell you that with more accuracy

After a shift kit install, we have ran into the same issues. We had to raise the rev limiter to about 6000 and adjust the trans shift points for around town driving and at WOT.

gears is what i want but if i cant get this rev limiter situation worked out i dunno what to do...i may just bump the limiter back to 6250 mayb that will give me enough room...

if i void the rev limiter and leave the shift points the same..
do u think im taking a chance?

duh, sorry I didn't think about it possibly being an A4. That does sound bad. Good luck with getting it fixed.

I forget sometimes that these cars even come in an A4, because I have never once considered buying one.

If you raise the limiter a bit you may be ok.

Well since you have a 02, you can use a diablo Sport Tuner, or you can buy HP Tuners, If you have a friend that has a fbody you could split the cost of HP.

We use HPT to Tune the Trans to the customers liking after a shift kit install. Some like it hitting hard driving around and others like it soft driving around town and hitting hard at the track.

I started off with a hypertech, and hated it. Returned it and Bought HPT Pro.

    Have not regretted it.
