Removing the Shifter Console

How hard is it to remove the shifter console? I dropped my house key down through the ashtray and it fell back. If someone could give me some help would be much helpful. Thanks

two 7mm (i think) bolts under the coin holder in the center console then it just lifts out you'll have a couple plugs but if you're just grabbing keys you'll be ok!

like he said above but there are also bolts 10mm at the front of the console as well, lift up on the e brake, disconect the cig lighter and ash tray light and pull towards the back seat and lift up all at the same time. you will find spare change from previous owner there too.

Well thanks for info. I just got the car back from the shop and its going back in to finish the job so I wanted to get it out before then

. I just put in the new LS2 and putting a 6-spd in (hate my auto). I'm not too impressed with the LS2 so far but I hope after some minor mods, it will turn out a little better.
