Removing the door panels
To replace panel clips, or not to replace door panel clips. Im about to remove the panels in order to fix the cracking issue with them but im afraid of them fitting like shit and being loose and flimsy after the install. Should I go to GM and buy new clips that hold them to the door, just to insure a solid fit? Im positive that the panels have not been removed before.

There are no GM clips to retain it. It's all in the panel, ...

Na not a bit. The door holds the "fingers" that go back into the frame. It slides out and slides back in.

Got ya. So are these fingers that are held by the panels the ones that may need replacing or are they good to re-use?

No you don't replace them. They are the panel.

Yeah when you remove the door pannel you have to pull up on it and you will see the "hooks" (or fingers) the stick out they go into the door its self and you can not remove them unless you cut them off of the panel but dont do that lol its bad. As long as you put all of the screws back in you wont have any problems with it being flimsy.
