Rear center filler?

My rear center filler is fading (the bird and the 'trans am' lettering)
Is there an easy fix?

I bought a brand new looking one from ebay.

The stock ones wern't vinal they were painted on, and I like my car to look as close to stock as possible so I wouldn't recommend them. But it all about how you want it to look. Also they can come off over time.

while there 7 year viynal. lloks just as good as for the price, but hey just trrying to help out

was the center pieace really painted on?? i owned 2 TA's and now a Z. thats kinda wired that GM would paint casue i know when i had mine it was fading?

yep that is why the fade is because they were painted on

Was it solid red paint? I looked on ebay and saw them for the LT1's, and the vinyl, but not the later models.

Mine was fader when I bought my car from the dealership... I took some paint stripper and took the old bird off and put vinyl overlays from this website... They have been on for over a year and look just as good.. I wanted to change the color to silver, like the 02 collector's edition.. its cheaper and easier to do than replacing the whole filler plate which will eventually fade anyways. My .02
