6th, so i decided i wanna have a little fun, i go to downshift to 4th, but instead i grab 2nd, the car lunged forward as would be expected, i pulled off the highway and into a parking lot, didn't smell anything weird, engine sounds fine, and didnt see any leaks, is there anything i should be concerned with, she seemed like she drove as she did before said incident, i tried to listen for any noises besides the normal squeaks and rattles but really didnt hear anything, my friend said he would only be concerned with the clutch, has anyone else experienced or know anyone who has done this? Scared the shit out of me, sorry so long
i've done the same thing except i banged second from the top of 3rd. good thing is you'll only do that once! (violent)

its a good idea to downshift through your gears. better on your synchro's too.

just need to rev match if you wanna hop over gears.

ive done that too, it is scary, but like TSS said you need to rev match if you're down shifting, if you dont its hell on your synchros

Oh, okay thanks. I tested it once and wasn't as so focused on my rev limiter as I was on shifting to not bounce on the rev limiter while keeping my eyes on the road.

Happened to me when i first got the car. The shifter was HUGE so i got a short throw shifter and never really had a problem. No worries, like stated above just let it idle for a while and closley listen to any weird noises. If u hear a ticking noise, just swap your pushrods out. It wont take that long and you dont have to worry about this problem or feel guilty when you rev her up.
