Is this a real WS6?
http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...ce=&cardist=13
I went and looked at it today... I didn't think about checking for the WS6 badge on the back, but what would the code be in the door and under the hood on the sticker that says 5.7L if it was a real WS6?

That's what I thought you would say ... The guy said it drives perfect (and my dad said it looked Damn good and he has been a paint specialist for GM for 27 years)... The guy also did say that the guy that drove it last said he noticed a little slip in the clutch... If it's just a slip all it would take it a new clutch set and it would drive flawless right?

My life is a- Ben Stiller movie.
no, it's not a real ws.6.
no badge
no "ram air" stickers on the hood
the rims are questionable due to the angle they are shot at

rims look like 16's not 17's. no decals. also in info it does not say it is a ws6, says it has ram air. also the HP listed is 305, the HP rating for non ws6.

No WS6 badge, 16" wheels, regular T/A exhaust.
No, I don't believe it's a real WS6. But then he doesn't claim it is, either.
The seller simply claims 'Ram Air', which with the addition of the hood, I guess he thinks that qualifies.

Black- 2002 T/A WS6
the badge and ram air stickers are removeable.... my WS6 doesnt have the ram air stickers on hood but does have the badge... i sent 01WS6 4 ME my vin and he verified that it is indeed a WS6 also mine has the WS6 code on the door
so look for things that arnt changed so easily ofcourse the door code isnt 100% but its alot better odds than looking for stickers..... a replaced drivers door for instance

kinda getting tired of people asking this all the time about whether an Ls1 is an SS or a Ws6. People, it's as easy as this...
1) write down or take pics of the door codes and look for the code that is indicuative of either an SS (Wu8) or a Ws6 (Ws6). It's called: research, so try it sometime. If you had to do it for school reports growing up, I sure hope that as an adult you are competent enough to still know how to do it now...
2) write down the VIN# , drive (or call) to your local dealership, go into the service/parts center and have them run the VIN# for you FOR FREE and PRINT OUT all the CODES and OPTIONS that were ordered on the car...
3) if you cant see it in person, call the perosn and have them GIVE YOU the VIN#...
there, all questions answered and that should help you to decide if you wish to pursue the car and purchase it...
it amazes me that people do not think to write this stuff down or record it for later use. shit if you look everything else over, how in the hell do you skip this part?Last edited by SSwt00SS; 04-25-2007 at 08:23 AM.

But confirm it w/ the RPO codes on the door if you NEED to, that is the ONLY way to tell for 100% sure.
