Raptor
I'm sure yall have heard of the Raptor edition of the Trans Am. There is some girl that works at a Hair Styling Salon in my neighborhood, and she has a red Trans Am with the Raptor hood and yellow Raptor decals on it. I'm kinda skeptical to say that it is a true Raptor though cause even though it's somewhat of an upscale salon, I don't believe she would be able to afford it. Is there any sure way to tell if it's a real Raptor or just a regular Trans Am just by looking at it?
I also did some research on the internet about it and the site I looked at said it had a whole bunch of mods and nitrous with the package, and it also said that when using the nitrous, it puts out about 700 hp. Is this true? Cause it's kinda hard to believe.1998 Firebird, 17" chrome ZR1 rims, 275s front and back, magnaflow exhaust, LED green accents on exterior, blue neon accents in interior, new Sony sound system; replaced all stock speakers, two 12s, two tweeters, Xplod 1600 watt amp, and Xplod radio head unit

I personally never heard of the raptor. But, ask her. See how much she knows about it. Get all the TRUE information you can on it, and quize her.

Red- 2001 Trans Am WS-6
I've only heard of a Raptor Hood and Decal Pack. Never heard of a Raptor Edition T/A. I did a search before replying and I could not find any Raptor T/A's. I think its BS.

It sounds to me that you looked around and came across somebodys upgraded formula car that puts out 700 hp because I see no way a dealership or even a sub-dealer like yenko or saleen putting nitrous in the car factory.

Red- 2001 Trans Am WS-6
OK, I found some info on the RAPTOR! It was a Conceptual Vehicle built by
Rytek Projektz a California bases Aftermarket Company.
At the heart of Firebird Raptor concept was a high-performance engine known as the Morgan Motorsports 385—it’s a stroked version of GM’s 350-cubic inch LS-1 V8. As tweaked with performance parts by Morgan, the engine produced a pulse-pounding 540 horsepower, Included was a two-stage Nitrous Express system that creates up to an additional 300 hp at the push of a dashboard button.
I read that Only 2 Units were produced. So if she does have one. It's a pretty Rare Bird. She should keep the miles off it and Store it for a few years and take it to Barret Jackson $$$... HAHAH

I'm sure you already know this, but they also had a few other conceptual designs. One was called the bird of prey. It had a wild bodykit design with the side bird graphics on it i believe, and also alot of motor work done. I found a company years ago that made the body kit for it but it was upwards of about 5,000. They also had a "heritage" trans am, which featured a shaker hood (which was kinda cool), and a different wing at the back which you either loved or hated. It also had a scoop like the old trans ams on the side, and a little tweaked interior draped in blue suede it looked like, although I could be wrong. Both cool cars to do some research on

Bright Purple Metallic- 1998 Trans Am
heritage
Pontiac motors, brought a special edition White w/ blue stripe 4 gen to the Nationals one year with a shaker hood, side scoops, and that strange wing. it was a very high horsepower set up and was really a beautiful car. Never saw another though.

I'm undecided with the wing. I actually designed my old 99 ws6 to the reverse anniversary edition. I sold it before i could get the white inserts and seats. i loved that car tho
