Rain inside of Ram Air
May seem dumb but if it is raining and your driving lets say the interstate. Wont the rain go inside your ram air, thus getting into your engine bay?

There is Baffles inside the Hood

If you removed your baffles for the extra 1-2hp then yes... you've increased the chances to get rain inside.
If your baffles are still there, then I'd say no. Because if you have baffles the rain would have to go straigh up, back down then straight up again into the filter then travel down the throttle body. I won't worry about it

Red- 2002 Trans Am WS6 (M6)
I've driven through pouring rain on the highway with no baffles several times over the past 6 years and have never had a problem. I try to stay out of heavy rain but it doesn't always work out.

VW BEETLE W/ FLOWER- 88 CRX
took my baffles out just to test it. and the bottem part of my filter will get wet...but unless its sideways rain it doesnt make it threw...but to solve this problem..get two of those big blue drying cloth thingys from walmart fold them up longways and stick them in where the baffles used to be and its just fine. or just leave the baffles in lol.

is it worth it to remove the baffles??

I'm definitely leaving my baffles in there. 1-2 hp is not worth a posibility of ruining a $4,500.00 LS1 engine! Good question though... I just noticed those baffles like 2 days ago and I've had my car 3 weeks now.

also you get a better HP increse by doing the under air mod. Its a free mod and you get more air from the bottom of the car anyway.
