racing from a roll in a4
i was just wondering what was the best way to race from a roll in a a4. i usually downshift from D to either 3 or 2. what do you guys do?

i was just wondering what was the best way to race from a roll in a a4. i usually downshift from D to either 3 or 2. what do you guys do? and how do you guys race from a stop. i put it in 1 and shift till i smoke em.

straight to 3...going to 2 is pointless ....three eliminates OD and uses all the clutch packs when shifting...2 is technically only for towing ect.

disregard this one. sometimes my computer doesnt really load fast enough because my wireless isnt too good. and i thought of adding something new to it.

manually shifiting an A4....
anyways, put it in third and go.. you cant shift better than your computer...
A4 from a roll. dig.. lol..

it feels faster when i down shift when rolling. and it feels it has more torque when i shift from one from a dig.

usually how we do it down here is you slam it after the second honk..that way by the third one you are already in gear and taking off like you would be in a manual by the time the third honk hits

If you run faster manually, then you need a tune.
The computer SHOULD do your shifting for you. Down and up.

theres something wrong..
of course it FEELS like it, your concentrating on something else instead of how fast your going, no more TQ... thats silly.
yep you just got to time it right.

if i am racing from a dig i just put it in drive but i do a lot of racing from about a 45mph roll, i just drop it in second as soon as take off push it to OD and let the computer do the shifting

ive done testing at the track where i shifted some runs down the track then i let the puter do its job
the computer had better times2000 nhra edition formula
a few bolt ons, 379 rwhp
