Race???
Anyone in Arizona in the Chandler, Gilbert, Mesa, Phoenix, or any surrounding cities up to race me and my friends over at Firebird International Raceway? Only thing you need is a stock Camaro or Firebird between the years 1993 and 2002. If you have something close then lemme know what you got.

2002 Z28 A4 NBM- Sadly now demodded :(
You do know that you'll need a helmet for this, yes? And your car has to pass tech. This applies regardless to which track you race at as both conform to NHRA rules.
Also this weekend is the NHRA AZ Nationals. Friday night Drags don't start up again untill March 5th.
OTOH, Speed World is having Club Day on Feb 27th.
Check out the AZFBA website, ask for Honorary membership (good for 3 months - full dues are a 1 time $20 payment) to get access to the whole board and join us at Speed World.
Or just show up at Speed World. Or wait til the 5th. Your choice.
And I promise not to laugh at the neons...
And if you want I'll race the 02 on street tires. That alone slows it down by 1/2 second.Last edited by 67CamaroRSSS; 02-18-2010 at 02:07 PM. Reason: added stuff

Out by Luke AF base on the far west side. Roughly Happy Valley Road and Grand Ave.
Here's a link to their site: http://www.speedworlddragstrip.com/
We're lucky to have 2 NHRA tracks here.
As you live in Gilbert it's about a 50 mile 1 way trip. I know as I lived in Gilbert when I 1st moved here. I ended up buying a house in Tempe.Last edited by 67CamaroRSSS; 02-18-2010 at 02:18 PM.

AZFBA will be having a BBQ there. Probably on the east side of the track towards the finish line. We usually bring and hang up the club banner so you can't miss it. It's what we did on the last club day.
Come by and introduce yourself. My names Jim. You can't miss me: Short, fat, old man with long hair and a white moustache.
And check out the site to see what we are about.
