Quick and Easy way to take out front baffles
If you plan on taking out you baffles of the ram air hood the front ones are glued in and are a real pain to take out. I read a write up of how to do the whole operation and the guy said he applied pressure on the baffle for 3 minutes before the glue gave way. With what i did it took no less than 10 seconds and no hand cramps!
Heres what i did...
I took out the grills in the scoops and got a small rag or towel and a rubber mallet (a hammer will work too). I then placed the rag in front of the baffle at the corner. Then placed the end of the handle of the mallet against the towel and with my palm gave the top of the mallet a few swift and hard taps. You'll here the glue give way almost immediately. Continue on to the other corner of the baffle then repeat for the other side. Thats it! A whole lot easier then using just your hands and will not scratch or damage anything!

Heres what i did...QUOTE]
Heck yea man. I drilled out the rivots on the front and back pieces, and then took out the honeycombs. I took an awl and a hammer and gave each piece a few taps and they popped right out. Very easy!
Hey TempleU_WS6, we still on to go cruisin on Sunday?

Man I drive mine everyday (but that'll change as soon as it starts to snow) and even in the rain I only get a few drops of water in there. I have the Volant CAI and it's more open than a stock box. You might have a problem if you're driving in a hurricane! Just take the time to tape it off when you're washing your car cause of course water is gonna get in there then.
