Are LT's illegal in any states? I MIGHT be able to get them thats why. Also if i can get an inspection sticker and the cop pulls me over and i have cats and everything can i still get arrested and a $15k fine?? I REALLY WANT LT's its the only thing my car needs. I dont have the tools to put them in nor a place. So i asked a few places how much and I got quoted $420-750. I said FUCK NO, so can any1 help me out if i get them?? Not selling my car so im gonna put the stuff back into it. O yeah my LS6 intake and TB got stolen so ill need one of those as well.

It depends on the state, like down here in SC we dont have emissions or anything like that so it dont matter

I think they are technically illegal in most states.
Any exhaust modification is illegal in most states.
That said, in Jersey you have emissions, so you would need cats and EGR and AIR friendly longtubes.2008 Trailblazer SS

i was wondering the samething but im in california. is there any set of L.T. that will pass smog. i live in Stockton, an hour away from Sacramento and I have called a bunch of places and they all want from 750$ and up to put on headers, anyone know a place a little more reasonable? are they that hard to install?

i did the install on mine with a buddy, not hard at all, in fact theres an install guide in the install guide forum...as far as legality, you need a catted y or x pipe and correct fittings....or you need to know someone that will pass you at an emissions shop....
