Purchasing a Silver WS6 in may
Im looking to purchase a Silver A4 WS6 in may, Right after i get the car home i plan on ordering an SLP Loudmouth Exhaust, SLP Lid, and Kooks LT Headers, Then driving up to Houston to get it tuned at HPE.. Currently i drive an 04 Infiniti G35, But my buddy owns an 06 goat and lured me into getting a T/A. What kind of power gains should i expect out of the mods i currently plan on.. i also plan on getting a nice set of cams and maybe heads, should i wait and get it tuned AFTER cams and heads or just get it tuned with the i/h/e and then retune it after cams/heads? also my buddy said for me to look into some sort of stall and a shiftkit? im new to domestics and auto's, i've driving manual imports since i got my DL. im lookin into some black TTII with some nice grippy nittos.. with a polished lip also, same setup as mr lous except black instead of full polished, just wanted a bit of advice on fine tuning my setup.. Thanks in advance fellas

DO the tune with everything on at once if you can. Unless you are pacing parts out, then for drivability get it tuned as you go. Also there is only one cam. The LS1 is a pushrod engine with one central camshaft.
As for the tranny a stall and kit will be needed to make the most of your mods, others on here can giv you a better idea where to go that way. Also a tranny cooler is a must modifiing or not it will make things last much longer.

If I remember reading correctly, you don't want the loudmouth exhaust if your doing headers, a lot of people hate it. I think they said it was really raspy....

C&C's right. I've got a loudmouth with my stock manifolds and it sounds great. But there's a SS in my area with a full exhaust and I couldnt hate it more. It's so incredibly raspy with any good amount of throttle.

oh i see, is it just because the Brand of headers, or is it just the fact that he has headers that makes it so raspy, where can i find a good tranny cooler and shiftkit

yeah... I agree. The loudmouth is awesome as a catback, but run a magna flow if your gona do headers.

also, if you plan on doin heads and cam, don't forget your rear end and suspension upgrades: sub frame connectors, panhard, etc.

with power hes gonna make with those mods hell snap that rearend quick.is someone holding this car till may, and do have 2-3 grand laying around cause thats about where you are in mods not counting the wheels. the wheels your speaking although they look very good i think the polished on a silver t/a really pops.good luck and get some pics up when you get it home!

I will have about yeah ill have around 3000-3500 when i get the ta. i guess i gotta think about the mods more.. i know for sure i want i/h/e/c and i would assume tranny cooler, a stall sounds like a def. mod, what about the rearend, what would i need to ensure this car doesnt fall on its face

with mods like that you're gonna want to look for a beefier rear end. A ford 9" or a 12 bolt. The stock 10 bolt just wont cut it with more power to the wheels. Should be up to 2,000 bucks but look around and a good deal might pop up.

if your doing heads and cam i would just skip the cat back and ORY and just get TD's more power and better sound imo...

+1 on the true duels. there are pics floating around here and ls1 tech of busted rears with those mods. if someone has not told you yet its the weakest link. oh and if you have never drivin one of these cars yet i think youll find these cars are a little rough around the edges compared to your g35's luxury but stock for stock performance wise the ws6 has much more power and thats just what these cars are 'modern muscle car of today' i almost bought a g35 but i love performance more than i do a car that wipes your ass haha. im a motor head so which is the faster bang for the buck is more important to me and i have to say this but i dont know how many g35s ive spanked with my stock firebird.

yah go with a 12 bolt for an auto and if your manual go ford 9in thats what seems to be the pattern...

what rwhp does the stock rearend handle?
close 450-500hp right?

If you have a manual tranny and launch very hard with a semi decent set of tires, you can break it with stock power.

so i guess my game plan has changed, 1st thing im gonna do is get a moser 12bolt, THEN i guess i/h/e for now, then ill have to cam it later.. not sure about heads, thats probably something for 6 months after the car

If I were you, I would try to do heads and cam at the same time.
