Exclamation Please help me decide which ls1 to buy!!

Please help me decide on a LS1, remember I want a 10.99 Daily Driver NA, $10,000 mod budget
    http://www.compnine.com/vid.php

    Option 1:

    2001 Pontiac Trans Am WS6 / 110,000 Miles
    Price: $5,700
    Vin: 2g2fv22g812124698
    Problems:
-Tie rod is broken (black ice accident), I cant test drive it, has to be towed, owner said hes too busy planning wedding and fixing house, and it also needs new paint on front bumper
-He hasn’t pay off his loan yet, so no title in hand

    http://washingtondc.craigslist.org/n...088286078.html

    Option 2:

    1998 Pontiac Trans Am / 52,000 Miles
    Price: $5,900
    VIN: 2g2fv22g6w2224970

Potential Problems: Mod: long tube headers and flow master exhaust, has title in hand

    http://washingtondc.craigslist.org/n...082689833.html

Also here is the thread the owner made a couple months ago, he took out most of his modifications to lower the price of the car

    http://www.houston-imports.com/forum...=581889&page=2

    Option 3:

    1999 Pontiac Trans Am / 73,655 Miles
    Price: $6,950
    Vin: 2G2FV22GXX2228019
Problem: Buying from a dealer so prices/fees are high

Under his list of exterior mods, it says SLP body kit. Hood and rear spoiler look terrible in my opinion. Says Firebird on the door which means its a V6.
Some of that body kit isn't too bad though.

Mann, thats a ton of money to throw into a V6, the hood does look a little off to me as well and the spoiler looks like pretty bad.

    Go with option 2

    Good luck with that.

Could buy my car....but total of $16K for the car. Will likely run 10's though. Although not DD type material.

Here is a photo of my 98 Firebird with the W68 sport appearance package. You can see the similarities on the front and side skirts. The rear bumper is not the same though.

option 2 definitely...option 1 is out of the question IMO unless he takes a couple grand off the selling price...option 3 is probably a v6

10's for less than 10K Could be done with nitrous, wouldnt be a daily driver for long with the amount you would need though.

Edit: I just saw the N/A part. Maybe with used parts and doing the work all yourself it's possible for 10K but it's gonna be a stretch.

OP I say option one if you can get it for 3500. It has the LS6 intake from the factory, the ram air hood, and decent wheels.

Mr Luos, I wish you had been selling your car a year ago. I would have jumped on it for sure.

If it wasn't for the Elevation, it would run 10's. The elevation adds to the ET because the DA (Density Air) is not as good as it would be at sea level. The car performs worse than it would at a lower elevaton because of some science stuff that is way over my head.

11.90 spinning. With a DA of 7900 feet.
Corrected for the DA it is 10.7 at 130. Can't claim it as I have not ran it. But that is why I said 'LIKELY run 10's' in my post.

Option 2 or even #3 the red dealer car is ok. Stay away from 1. That is alot for a car with 110k that you can't test drive and needs mechanical and paintwork.
