    Pictures of my car

Alright! So as I've been learning & exploring this site I've had requests for pictures of my car & it's issues, so here we go! Most of it I know how to fix and come this spring we'll be going through a MAJOR transformation! I'll post updates as things get fixed.

This is the crack in the passenger side door panel. I haven't decided if it's salvageable yet or not.

My lovely dash crack. Will be getting a cover for it for sure!

The crack in the drivers door panel...can't wait to get that mod done...

Even my bleeping glove box has a crack in it!!!

Yay broken visors. Got sent a thread for a wicked how-to build your own. This will probably be one of the first few cosmetic things that get fixed.

Guess what. I have a broken vent too. The better question is: Is there anything NOT broken?

Two annoying chips in the hood. Have to be careful when getting a wash!!

Passenger side mirror is broken..I have the replacement..dunno if it works..Gunna do all panel removing repairs at the same time so it only needs to be done once!!

I blame this one on my hubby, an SUV & the city of St Louis. He just HAD to get a coffee at starbucks & the biatch just HAD to block my way as I was turning in..and the curb was probably half a foot high! grrrrrr

I dunno how they managed it, but the previous owners chipped the inside of the spoiler...retard...

And now for some not so depressing pics:

I'm thinking ebay is your friend

Keep a look out for door panels, dash and even the glove box and vent. The sun visor I know you've got covered. But, would suggest that you keep your CD's some where else when it's fixed. Those brackets aren't the best

It's not all that bad. Just a matter of a bit of time, money and patience. I've seen much worse

Keep us updated on your progress.

Oh recently ebay is my BFF! lol. I'll definitely find another holding cell for my CD's. Overall I know it could be worse, but I'm looking forward to fixing it up and making it my own.

Baby steps. Take your time. You'll be happy in the end when you know you did things right when you repaired your car.

I leave my t-tops open usually when I park, I'm too trusting. Had somebody steal my clearly homemade CDs from the car! Dumbass.

At least the car still easily passes the 5-ft test! But that door panel crack is the worst I've seen...

I never leave my tops open when I park unless I'm going in & out. I see ppl with their tops down all the time. I don't trust the area I live in for that!! What is this 5-ft test?! The door panel crack is brutal...but it's also a very long & painful story. Lets just say if I had a tank there would be a dealership that wouldn't exist anymore.

The 5-ft test means it looks perfect from 5-ft away So unless you get up close, you won't notice the imperfections...

I'm not even sure what to say about that panel.. It doesn't even look the same material anymore.. Thats crazy. You're best bet is to look for two new/used matching door panels. That one in particular is gonna be more work than its probably worth in order for it to come out looking decent IMHO

That's what I've been thinking to. I found a wicked deal on ebay for some used ones. Their cracked, but fixable BUT I have $200 in labor that my mechanic is doing next week so I just can't afford it (majorly sucks!) [But my baby will be mostly fixed up at that point!]

Here's the write-up that was given to me:

    http://www.ls1.com/forums/showthread.php?t=130366

I couldn't find the material listed as needed for the visor, but I discovered two things: a lot of visors are made out of hardboard & there's an upholstery cardboard you can get as well. I found the hardboard a lot easier to find.

    p.s.
You can order new brackets off ebay if that's all you need to fix.

nice car, atleast your tail light doesnt have water damage like mine! haha. My side mirror is also broken, the driver side. Im lucky enough to not have a third of the cracks you do! Those are all common things though, and not hard or exspensive fixes. Goodluck!

01Ws6 - Not sure!!! How is it broken?

35th-ANV-SS - I found one! I wish you could search for PPL via location. That'd pretty cool. Or that I lived closer to a real city...

Blackbird-WS6 - I'm not sure I like being referred to as an "it"! and I guess the "Chick with a red T/A" under my nickname wasn't an indication at all that I'm a she. LOL

On a site like this, most will assume you are a man, no matter what you have under your avatar. It's just logical as we are the minority around here. Still happens to me all the time

But, the longer you stick around, the regulars will pick up on it soon enough
