Pics of my new TA, proud bird owner
What do you guys think about the bird decals on the sides by the windows...and the aftermarket trans am decal at the bottom...i was thinkin about stripping all that off, and just purchasing some ram air decals to go on the hood.
also...what about cleanin out the engine area...obviously i'm guessin you don't want to pressure wash it, with the stuff at car washes...but...erm what else would i do?

i dig the retro graphics.
get rid of the air deck though, it looks out of place with that filter.

yeh, i don't really care for the trans am graphic on the side of the car though...it looks so retro...i was considering taking it off, and getting the regular ole ram air tag in white on the hood..

I like the retro graphics too. Too bad they aren't a little lower on the sail panels. Too high makes it look a little goofy but, that's my opinion. If you can get some more, I would suggest lowering them about 6" on the sail panel.
Otherwise, nice looking ride. Rims?

For sure take those trans am stickers off the doors. IMO, those look very tacky.

Pewter Metallic- 2002 Trans Am WS6 M6 D1SC
I agree with the bird on the sail panel being too high but Im a bit unsure about the T/A decals. They look ok but i dunno how matching Ram Air decals would look. Probably not too good.
BTW, good find! Dont worry about the black, its a great color. I think SOM is the best but they are very hard to get your hands on.

Like the bird decals on the sails, but i agree that they look too high--new ones lower or somehow salvage those??? the trans am's on the doors need to go imo though...

Navy Blue Metallic- 2000 T/A Firehawk M6
Congrats on the new ride! Is this the one from down the block where you are? I remember you saying you went for a ride and it was wicked fast. Guess it made a good impression on you Good luck with it and I agree with most here the retro trans am lettering should probably go.

yeh, its the one from right down the block...the guy hit me for 14k...which i thought was alittle steep but i don't have to travel, the body looks great, and it has performance mods...so i just tacked up the performance mods to be worth it...

Navy Blue Metallic- 2000 T/A Firehawk M6
Yeah that is how i was trying to justify the 2000 non WS6 i was looking at. It was great but i can't see any 2000 TA being worth 17k especially since it had been in an accident. Considering the mods i COULD have seen it at 14k. at 14k it would have been an 11k mile 2000 TA with ram air hood SLP rims and exhaust. in dash nav, 10" JL sub and a couple of kenwood amps.... THAT is worth 14k.... without it i'd say MAYBE 10-12k cuz of the accident. alas the dealer didn't see it that way.
I'm glad at least one of us got in a bird before labor day. Too bad I won't be driving "my" bird on my birthday..... which is labor day.....

Navy Blue Metallic- '00 Formy A4
Congrats on the new 'Bird!!
I almost like the decals, but not quite. I like the retro theme, but I just don't like the gold decals with chrome wheels. If you had black or gold wheels, that would be a different story.
I'd say remove all the decals/emblems/side trim, and you'll have one clean looking 'Bird.
I think less is more when it comes to that stuff, too many people go overboard with the stripes/emblems/overlays and make the car look cluttered.
I'd also remove the rest of the stock airbox, you don't need it. Either that or sell that intake and go with an aftermarket lid. I think the lid style intake looks the cleanest, actually.
