i sm thinking about lowering it an inch or so. what are your thoughts? Any brands you'd recommend, or negative effects?

Lowering looks bad ass.. mine is lowered about 2 inches up front and 1.5 in the rear. i get tons of compliments on it. it sits like my uncles 05 BMW M3 and looks really aggressive. the down side is i go to school in toledo and the roads suck so if im goin over 10mph over the limit i bottom out all the time. highway driving is decent if its not under construction, but my home town is small and the roads are kept fairly nice so i have no problems there. Im looking for like a skid plate to put under the chassis cause i had it on a lift the other day and you can tell where its bottoming out.
The guy i bought the car off of lowered it and i dont wanna spend the money to put stock springs back in so i kinda just grit my teeth when i bottom out lol...looks amazing though lowered. i'lll take some pics here in the near future.

Gotta pay taxes on the bird and get a custom plate tomorrow so Im heading to the body shop supplies place and buying some clear so I can do my lights till I order new ones. Foggy lights annoy me so frikin bad. Ive read that you can beat out VHT with some clear and some single stage paint!

Sounds like you've had a bad experience with VHT nightshades Josh. Most tail lights that I have seen done with them look cloudy.
I've had some bad experiences with losing the right cover for mine a couple of times but, I put some double sided tape on the top lip of the right one since and haven't had a problem since.
I did paint my side markers tint but, I used Testors Model Master tint and that is glossy but, also it is a small area to cover.
I used covers for mine so that I could remove them if I wanted and didn't want to risk F-ing up the paint on them.
