Are you referring to the PCV tubing that runs behind the MAP sensor?

Ok - that's the vacuum supply line. Yes, if it is broken it will allow unmetered air to enter the engine.

Electrical tape isn't going to seal properly and with time will come loose. I would pull the intake and carefully epoxy the break. You want to do it right so there is no chance of the epoxy breaking off and being sucked into the cylinders. Insert some sort of dowel into the port during the repair to ensure that no repair material blocks the port. Only other option would be plastic weld, but I am unsure if the manifold is the correct type of plastic for this.

When purchasing the manifold for a 2000 ws6 what do we need. I know that people sell used manifolds without and with the fuel rails etc.... So if I was to purchase an ls6 manifold for my 2000 ws6 what would i need for the install. Thanks so much!!!!

New O-rings perhaps and I would consider replacing the knock sensors depending upon their condition. If you replace them, go with GM and not parts store cheapies. Also, be very careful not to break the oil pressure sending unit (OPSU) at the back of the manifold!
