    Passenger Window won't work

The passenger window won't go down and if it does go down just a little it won't go back up for a while. Is it the window lift motor or the window regulator that usually needs to be replaced? Thanks for you help.

From what I have heard it is a pain in the butt to put a new motor in. Are there any tips on doing this.

The switch is most likely the problem with your senario. I'd try that before attempting to replace the motor, lot easier and quicker than a motor replacement.

If you press the down button the window will come down maybe 1/4 of an inch and thats it. This occurs from either the switch on the driver or passenger door.

Ive read several threads on this issue lately. Im leanin more towards my problem being in the motor itself. But I thought Id ask if theres a good way to check and make sure its the motor and not in the switch. Mine will roll down with no hesitation, it just has issues going back up (insert perv joke here). Now it does this reguardless of which switch you use, which is why I think its the motor itself. On the other hand, its a car with 144k on it... so both switches could be fubar. Anyhow, anyone have a way to test it out?

try the switch. after i put my new motor in it would go down fine but only go up a 1/4 inch at a time. and its cheaper to. at least give it a try. save the pacakaging and if it doesnt fix it take it back

Mine does the exact same thing as yours. Goes down like a demon chasin' a virgin, but goes up so slow that if it started raining I would get soaked. And when it finally gets to the top, I have to help it the last 1/2" or it won't seal up.

I haven't done anything with it yet though.

You can get the window motors for about $20-$25 off e-bay, with a lifetime warrenty. had to do one of mine over the summer and it was a major pain.
