Parking Brake "Brake" light not turning on

hey, already hit the folks up on ls1 tech to no avail really. my parking brake light comes on during the light test pre ignition. The light wont come on when engaging the brake no matter what. I took the little switch deal out and cleaned it well with carb cleaner and put it back in and nothing. also my e brake works as it should and doesn't malfunction mechanically. Any ideas?

I have the exact opposite issue, mine never goes off (parking brake works as it should though). Asked the shop about it when I took her in to get some fluids changed a couple months ago.

According to them, there's a sensor that acts like a float. Mines simply stuck and keeps the light on. I would assume it could get stuck in the off position just as easily.

Just a thought...I haven't really bothered with it since it isn't causing problems with the parking brake.
