so i was accelerating hard i was close to the redline and it kicked out of gear and stalled it starts and runs fine but has a loud tap from inside the motor that my dad said sounds like a rocker but not sure
any ideas on the problem?

Na, do you have basic mechanical skills? Remove coils, which on your car I think you have to do one by one. Then remove valve cover and then remove each rocker one by one and pull out the pushrod. Just roll it over a piece of glass and see if it's straight. It's probably on LS1howto.com

Black- 2000 WS6 6spd Hooker LT
So, you let the PCM shift for you. Wondered why, now I know! I'm sure the shift is set a bit higher than stock.
To OP, check with KY speed, a sponser, for pushrods. Sure sounds like a classice push rod bend. Hope nothing else got hurt, if you really did rev it that high. Mayber somebody removed the rev limiter on your car....dumb thing to do unless your engine is built for it.
