    Out of curiosity.....?

    Hi Guys...

I am just wondering. The attached pic of the drivers door has the arrowed cut out ( obviously the passenger door too). Now, it's pretty obvious it is a locating pin for door alignment.... but should it have any kind of rubber bumper, polyurethane insert, call it what you will, in it, as it just seems odd that it is the painted door edge that will come into direct contact with the steel pin?! It would seem to me that something is missing, but who knows!!!???

I was giving the car a good clean today for a show tomorrow and i noticed this and am curious!!

    Thanks guys....

That is strange, it looks like it is the latch hole, but in a different spot. Is it possible that is a door off an older car? Or a phased maunufacturing thing?

    Mmmm....,

Don't know about any "phased manufacturing" but i can be absolutely sure that it is an original door, as are all the panels as this is a pampered original... well... apart from the headers and all of that stuff!!

    Curious, ain't it????

Just checked my door. It looks just as yours does, OP. Don't know why it's like that with no rubber thing.
