    P0430 is a cat. efficiency code. It can't be for both banks, 420 would be for the other side (bank 1, drivers side) You can tell them how much the cost would be to fix it, and try for a lower price.

    Any clue as to how much I would be looking at? It's just the p0430 code which is passenger side

    ^^^something happened to this website. I already answered this question, and other posts I put up on other threads are now gone! Looks like the world is coming to the end.

    Anyway, if you didn't see what I posted earlier, looks like converters are $100-$375, depending on if they are direct fit or not. Plus shop installation labor. You could probably put your own direct fit on yourself.

    Should also consider that "Carfax" lol, is not the end all be all to a vehicles history..
    An owner can simply choose not to report an accident.. Definetly good for the reported stuff though.
    Look it over if something does'nt look right ask the owner about it..
    Anyone selling a car on the up and up should be willing to entertain ANY questions you may have..
