Isnt there an online repair data service where you can pay a monthly fee and download or print repair data. I looked at Alldata and it doesnt look very good.

What about IATN. Try that. I used to subscribe when I depended on turning wrenches for a living. Great help!

Buy the books. I paid around $100 for the 3 volume set brand new in the plastic from a book dealer.

$100 sounds pretty cheap. How did you get such a great deal.

Book vendors at swap meets. You can also sometimes find them on-line through ebay and such. Here's one from ebay, but the Buy It Now price is a little steep: 2002 Chevy CAMARO PONTIAC FIREBIRD Service Shop Repair Manual Set OEM FACTORY | eBay

Try helminc.com They have both on-line and paper copies of almost everything. Price for a service manual set is now up to $200 for the 2002 model year. That has jumped quite a bit from when I bought mine.
