Depends if it's an auto or stick. Auto = stall.

    Depends on your budget...
I would do the free mods, De-baffle the hood and Air Lid at $99, is the best bang for the buck.

Next muffler/cat-back for your exhaust to flow free.

I agree, Tune and stall for Auto if $$$ is not a factor. Sub frame connectors for traction.

Best bang for the buck is sending the computer to Steve @ Frost. 150.00 plus shipping is a great deal.

nope....it's a good mod but you really don't gain a bunch of HP from it. Just a couple at best. How much are you looking to spend so we have an idea of what to suggest?

You have to remember that an engine is like an air pump. The more air you move, the more power it makes. You are talking aobut opening up a very small part of the air system. It is an important part, but you major restrictions are inside the engine in the cylinders. The heads, cam and exhaust play a large role in air movement. The throttle body, lid, air cleaner play a small role. The intake can be a restriction if it is the older LS1 design. If you have this intake, you may want to throw money at this first. But, are you talking about power, or performance? For strict performance, a tune will help considerably. If you have an auto(if you change your avatar to reflect your tranny type, it helps us sort this out beforehand), then a stall will make a large difference in performance. Coupled with a tune, you can change the shift points to extract more performance out of your car.

I'll agree that a Frost Tune even on a stock car can make a big difference in the way that it feels. If you are willing to spend $250, you can get a lid & Frost tune. Do some free mods, and you'll free up some HP. All of those things are easy for a novice to complete as well. A stall on the other hand...

I'll agree with the stall for an auto. I'm completely stock and had the transmission rebuilt with a 1900 stall. Huge difference from the stock and then find a slp lid you gain alittle difference from that. I have all this and my next step is a tune from Frost.

    speed

my current car is a 6-speed. back in the day (2002) i bought 2 ws6 cars new, one auto, one stick. the auto was a dog and i kept it at home most of the time. How much would another WS6 computer cost + the $150 from frost. I would like a backup unit to take it back to stock. I thought I read some where that guys were warning about the reprogramming. Cant remember the exact issue though.
