Which one is faster?
Hello guys
Ah really basic Info for me: Which of these two cars are faster (Stock!) in acceleration & top speed? And which one handles better on the road?
1998-2002 Pontiac Trans Am WS6
or
1998-2002 Chevrolet Camaro SS
Because i'm thinking on buying one of them... but don't know which one. The Trans Am WS6 with Ram Air looks better than the Camaro SS (my opinion) but some people say, the Camaro SS is faster and can be modded better.
Thanks for your attention

You're gonna start a war with this one. T/As weigh in a few hundred mroe pounds than Camaros and the typical stock on stock race results in the Z/SS winning. Start modding and it doesn't make a difference they are both gonna hang bad ass. I am a Z driver through and through, but I am most other Z drivers will admit the T/A just looks damn good and we look like nothing parked next to them. Pick based on looks and which one will make you happier, that's the only real way to choose. Oh yeah, T/As handle better in general due to suspension (WS6). Top speed the T/A air dam headlights hold you down while as the Z is an aerodynamic work of art. Don't let top speed affect your decision either. . .get one and try it and you'll understand. Ok ok I had the guts to post first and I'm ready to get ripped at. . .ready, set, FLAME

Red- 2002 WS6 Trans Am
If there is a difference between the two in speed I guarantee you wouldn't notice it if you test drove both of them. They are basically the same exact car just different shells.

If your counting tenths at the quarter mile then the SS, because a few pounds lighter. But overall they are the same. T/A's look baddass, but I have a 00 SS and wouldn't trade it for the world. You'll be happy either way I promise.

an LS1 car is an LS1 car(fbody). They run the same, it's the drivers that make the difference.

damn, i didn't realize you were from europe...this is awesome, that one guy in "general help" is from britain and he imported a ws6 too.
I LOVE IT!!! keep american muscle alive overthere. maybe then it will migrate toward japan and the rice crowd will get the point.
yeah, i'd definatly say ws.6 if you want to shock-n-awe your fellow sweeds
