    Oil pressure problem?

Hey everyone just got my ls6 intake installed today and noticed that my oil pressure is up higher then usual. at idle the gauge is floating around 60 is (a little lower) and at full throttle almost to 80. is this good or bad, or typical with this install? thanks for the help, chris

Did you break your oil sending unit (rear of engine on driver side)? When I replaced knock sensors I cracked mine accidentally when I was pulling off the intake, with the vaccum line that runs from the back of the intake to the brake booster. And it started running at weird oil pressure levels. Then it blew out like a week later and I had to take the intake off again to replace the sending unit. MESSY!!!

And my oil pressure is still reading 80 all the time (it's been like 2-3 months now) but my mechanic said something in the wiring or guage is probably messed up. and my car is a DD....no problems with viscosity either...so I guess I'm fine??? lol

Does it go down after it warms up fully? During the winter I notice that mine runs just under 80 anything above 2.5k, but will not do so after a half hour of driving...

We actually had to replace it because it was broken after i removed it, but was intact when we put it all back together.
