Oil Light Wont Turn Off!?!?!?!?!?
I did my first oil change the other day because my change oil light came on. Its not my first time to chance oil. I know I didnt it right. I was just wondering if there was something else I needed to do to get my change oil light to not come on. ALso my low oil light stays on, but my oil isnt low. I have no idea what to do. Any help would be nice.

How much oil did you put in??
The light on the dash cannot tell that you physically changed the oil.
To get the light to go off, turn your key to the on position but don't start it. Push the tripometer button and hold it down for 7-10 seconds. Oil light should flash.
Turn key off, start car. Light should be off.
I change my oil 3-4 times before that light comes on.

If your low oil light is on...and won't go away, you may need a new sensor in the oilpan.
Dipstick says the level is good? Yellow stick.

My life is a- Ben Stiller movie.
that sensor is based on how many revolutions the crank makes between the last time someone reset the system. If the last person didn't reset it then it would have come on earlier. hell, i've had it come on just after a change.
What i'm getting at is it's hardly a "quality monitor" so nothign to be afraid of.

LMFAO. Just ignore it if you change your oil regularly. It should go out in a few miles. If not, there is a reset switch underneath. Somebody help me out. Not sure where it is............lol.

Low oil light sensor is in the side of the pan, after filling it to the correct (sensing) level it should go off after a couple ignition cycles the PCM sees 194* ECT.

I reset my oil light by pumping the gas pedal three times (to the floor) before starting the car. It turns off for another 3k'ish.
