WOULD YOU RECOMMEND KEEPING BOTH THE HAND BRAKE AND THE FOOT BRAKE ON AT THE SAME TIME?

Hand brake controls the rear tires. Leave that off.
You need to hold the car in place with the foot brake. Just enough pressure to allow the rears to spin but not move the car.

And your caps lock button is on. Just thought I would let you know.

And that WILL warp your rotors (unless you have the drilled ones.. then they will crack.. as well as cook your rear brakes.. get a line lock.. problem fixed.. but as Mr Luos said.. E-brake will prevent the rears from turning.. (to test.. put the e-brake on.. and try to take off your rotors... won't happen.. even with a hammer! <hides>

to review... in automatics... so put it in 1st, lightly press foot on the brake pedal and

give it gas with the other foot... do not use the hand break at all.

No, you will need to put the brake to the floor or you will be going down the road pretty fast... unless thats what you want.. just smoke down the road.... But brake all the way.. then 1st.. and gas it as high as it will go.. just watch out for the rev limiter...

lol !! II didn't want to point it out, but figured I would say something in case you could make the dealership replace it. Guess it might be too late since you already drove off the lot with it. At least it's a cheap replacement !! 've had my TA for 6 years and still !! Congrats on your new purchase !! Beautiful car !!!

how come leaving it in first is the best way?

Hard on tranny and you may get them going too fast for the motor to keep up.
1 or 2 for the automatics if you plan on cooking the tires for an extended amount of time.

    way to go man

homerun, I kinda agree with milkman. It's a nice custom touch, but to each his own. Those look like the reflective vinyl decals, correct? Nice touch as well.

cuz i have gone like 10% throttle doing burnouts cuz i figured itd be easier on the car.

i assumed since im not sustaining high rpms, it woul dbe better to let the car shift when it wants, at like 3k... but ur saying higher rpms and lower mph (wheels) is safer?
