Yeah, my cousin had a 74 Firebird and was one of my first clutch experiences.......lol. It rolled forward into a small ditch cuz I didn't understand brake, clutch and gas slowly.

1978 and 1979 were good years. I remember a lot of those old 60's and 70's muscle cars bought off the showroom and straight to the track. Or, county road where I'm from......lol.

Do you still have the 73? I almost bought one here last summer but, I hesitated for a day and it was gone.

Nope i dont I bought that car for $3500 and sold it to get a GMC 4x4 because all my friends were doing it. What a dumb a** i was if I had that car I could get $35000 for it now but if I still had it I don't think I would want to sell it

No shit you were stylin. If the pants were either nylon or rayon, you were cool.

The shirt should be real silk though unless its good nylon. Rayon shows you as cheap.....lol.

Funny how puka shells are all the rage now. I just broke my old ones out of the 'stuff box' and I didn't miss a beat.

If you're watching closely, that style is creeping back. The only diff now, is that the shirt tails are out. We had ours tucked in with a nice belt.

Shag hair cut mandatory......lol. The mullet was later.

Of course you wouldn't want to sell it now. You don't think about these things at that time. It's only now that we realize a few things.

Which is why I'm never selling my bird. Family heirloom now. F-bodies are legendary now. More so than the Mustang in my opinion.

And no, certainly not a daily driver. She gets roughly 4K miles a summer.

Although I did have it out for a short drive earlier this week. It was 70 degrees....had the tops off and everything.
