    OEM ws6 hood?

How do I tell if the ram air hood on my car is a legit Pontiac hood? Car is not a factory ws6 car...

    Thank you.

    OEM ws6 hood?

place a magnet on the hood. OEM Ram Air hoods are not fiberglass.

    Scott,

Bit puzzled... i thought the WS6 hood was SMC?

Maybe you mean it'll stick to the steel pieces near the lock area?

    You're right...SMC...I'm getting old...confusing my yrs.

After thinking about it the only real way I can think of is that the WS6 hoods have no fitment issues where almost all aftermarket fiberglass hoods do. I have yet to see an aftermarket one that didn't need some work to make it fit or look properly.

    Phew....

    I'm getting old too!!

Still in my fifties and i have just had both eyes done for cataracts!!

I have the vision of Steve Austin now!

Ok... back on track. I did read something once about the "nostrils" and the fixing
points for the grilles within and also general shape of them which if you put a factory hood
next to a copy you can see the difference.

    Can't remember where though?
