Noisy headlight motor
Just did some front end work on my car and now when I lower the headlights it makes a grinding noise for a few seconds then stops, and there is no binding or hesitation with the headlights going up then down. Also the grinding sound only happens when I lower the headlight. Any body know a quick fix for that?

Your headlight gear is striped.
You can rotate the 180 degrees or replace the gear with another plastic gear that can be bought off of ebay for about $10.00 or you can replace it with a brass gear.

I did mine last year, I like way the headlight shuts now, it doesn't slam shut as before but with the brass gears it shuts with more control.
