New WS6 Owner
I have a 00 WS6 TransAM. I am looking for help and advice for performing mods to increase horsepower. I would like to gain 150 to 200 HP (Or as close as possible) without pulling the motor or modifying the heads / cam ect. Would you please give me some advice so this bird will scream.
Thanks
Greg

Black(soon to be car)- WS6(soon to be)
Congrats, hopefully ill get mine this weekend.
Sae as the guy above me said, supercharge it, not too much boost though. Also replace the clutch plate as I hear. Plus, dont forget your typical exaust setup.

Thanks for the ideas I really appreciate it. I noticed my ram air is not really functional. I checked the hood vents and they only have about half an inch cut out. I have priced the cold air intake kits at $300.00 bucks and got chest pains. I was thinking about doing a poor mans mod for the ram air. Upgrade to a K&N filter & cutting out the underside of the hood so the filter would actually get some air. I would then gasket or seal the hood access and filter access as well. I would not use the air box, the top of the filter would be exposed to get max air flow. I know there is a kit that does this same thing but I am unable to find it. Or is this considered a cold air mod? I have heard different theories on catback and duals. Which gives more HP? Also, flow masters sound BA but I heard they rob hp or do not give hp. Is this true? What would be a good muffler for increased hp and sound?

Thanks for the info. I heard a sound clip of the stock exhaust then the SLP and it was sweet. Had a serious growl to it.

depends on your budget and what your future plans are with the car turbo,heads/cam,n2o,supercharge,bored/stroked?i went with hooker catback sounds good, not as good as stainless kits but will perforn just as good and it has good sound to it not raspy such as the loudmouth if you are going to install longtubes id stay away from slp too raspy so thats what i hear from others

got any pictures.
to gain that kinda HP (not counting NOS) you will probably want to get a procharger or turbo.
