New Ride
Just picked up this pewter '99 T/A WS6...THIS THING IS SO MUCH FUN...ridiculous. I also have a '73 Camaro RS and post regularly on NastyZ28 for those that have a 2d gen camaro.
You guys (and gals) have a great site here! Some SWEEEET looking machines on this site folks...getting lots of ideas...thanks. Anyway, I live in San Diego and just wanted to say what up
Here's my '73...
I have a question about rims for the T/A...I found some black Z06 replicas on Ebay and am wondering whether they have the correct backspacing and will fit.
The ad says they fit Corvette 1988 thru 1999 and Camaro, Firebird and Trans am 1993 thru 2002 so I assume they have the correct bolt pattern.
They are 17x9.5 / 56 mm. Can someone please tell me if these will fit or will I need a spacer?
Thanks

I bought the '73 off ebay. I flew out to Utah to pick it up and the guy had the sickest private collection I've ever seen. He and his dad own the largest Ford dealership in Utah. They took me up to their house to look at some of their cars...real '65 Shelby race car version, '67 blown vette, '66 396 Chevelle, and about 20 other cars in their garages...and...he owns Elsinore...the real one from the movie. Apparently, 7 were made for the movie and 3 were destroyed during filming so there are 4 out there that were used in the movie. He sells posters on ebay of the car. I even got to sit in it with that big red nitrous switch staring right at me...I lost my cell phone though last summer which had the pic....bummer

yes, I've always loved the pewter. Personally, I've owned some black muscle cars in the past (I had a black '70 Formula 400 with the twin hood scoops in college), but I think the lines of the T/A are kinda hidden when it's in black...pewter brings out all the buldges and hood inlets. I'm getting all black Z06 rims and black zinc coated rotors and painting the calipers black, so it should look pretty "stealthy"
