    looks really nice and clean.

i would have left the bird out of the stripes though. would have looked like the fire was spreading.

The hood is airbrushed. He uses a stencil for the birds and letters, then airbrushes detail into them.

Thats cool. I've been thinking about having the bird on the filler pannel in the back and the liscense plate cover airbrushed on my car.

He lives in Yukon, and his name's Ryan. The name of his company is Russell Customs, and I don't think he's even listed in the phone book. I got his number by referral.

I duno man, I like the silver bird with silver flames around it. Usually that looks tacky to me, but this looks very clean. Nice job finding someone how could do a tasteful paint job and not overdoing it.

Thanks fellas, It is nice to read all compliments and critique from the outside looking in. I did the paint on this car and have done one other firehawk. (custom that is) I try to limit my creativity, especially on these numbered cars! If it was up to me I would have the birds bursting out of real fire and all kinds of shit. But some cars I feel dont need to be too flashy and wild, and these are one of them.
I am currently the exclusive painter for www.classic-recreations.com in yukon OK. Got the car back early, and I think it turned out awesome!

Sorry about the high resolution pictures. If you save and then open them; they'll probably be easier to see.

The paintwork is pretty cool, but I gotta agree, ..., why would you seriously go to the WS9 hood instead of repairing the Firehawk hood?

If the old Firehawk hood is available, please PM me an asking price ASAP. Seriously.

Did you replace the front bumper also now then? Does the previous cuts made in the nostril area look okay against the WS9 hood layout?

Honestly, I just like the WS9 way better than the Firehawk hood. I had an opportunity to change out the hood with insurance paying for everything so I took it. I did not replace the front bumper, and it's unnoticeable unless you really are looking for it. How much are used Firehawk hoods going for?
