I put the SLP lid on it & do not have any rubbing issues like mentioned above. Be careful with some of the other SLP stuff (other than the lid) they have had several quility control issues with some of their stuff.
i heard the same thing...for local tuner about SLP products.....who has good throttle bodys? or is it best to get mine polished and ported?

I really would not worry about the throttle body until you start building more horse power (450ish plus) with heads & cam package. Your gains, if any right now in stock configuration would be very marginal. I would spend the money on SFC if you do not have them or a good shifter like the pro 5.0. You could even dive into the rear with new gears.

Is the Hurst shifter not good?

Sub Frame Connectors....sorry! The Hurst is fine if that is what you have, but the Pro 5.0 shifter is a little better than the factory installed Hurst. Mine had the stock non-Hurst shifter in it. I also opted to go with Lou's short stick shift handle to decrease shift throws.....very nice set up.

I purchased the UMI tubular bolt in connectors & there are several other companies to choose from. I love the way they tuck underneath the car. You literally have to get on the ground to see them. There is an option here...you can go bolt in or you can go weld in. Knowing that, I went the route I did because I liked the option of removal & besides that my car is not a track car & I barely drive it 500 miles a year.

    SFC's, control arms w/poly bushings

All new after market air intake (everything). New throttle body, mass air sensor
smooth bellows... plus a few more little things. Long tube stainless steel headers, with 3inch exhuast. I was given a gift from the factory... stock dynod w/KNM at 365 (thanks GM) Set of 3 gauge cluster, and very exspensive tune/reprogram job... put me at 423-427 rwhp then a 125 NOS shot on the low side (traction is still an issue) put me @ 533. I think that is it? I did raise my shift points in the tune and my rev limiter points.

The 01's should already have the LS6 intake installed if I remember correctly.

the probelm with lowering it is the clearance with the huge exhaust pipes coming off headers all the way back ....i do think it looks better when lowered but will be dragging on some stuff if i do

My ground clearance, with my Hooker LT and 3" ORY, actually improved over the stock Y-pipe. I had to crimp my ORY somewhat so it wouldn't rattle, but I gained over a half inch in ground clearance. I would like to lower my car also, maybe when it is 10 years old.
