New here... this a good deal on a TA?

I'm wanting to get back into a F body and i've been searching high and low for a Z28 or TA that I can afford. Can someone comment on this particular TA and let me know if it looks like a good buy? I used to have a 2000 Camaro SS years ago and I loved the car and it's time to get one again.

I can afford to go higher on the price for a lower mileage car but my limit is 12000. Thanks for any advice!

The car looks nice from the PICs, but that wont tell the whole story. You need to drive it to check and see if all the lights work, turn signals, wipers and a/c to name a few things. In my personal opinion if you have more money I would look for one with lower miles.

Typo most likely. I found newer camaros though for a little more money with less mileage. May go that route.

from what i've seen thats a good price but i would spend a little more for a car with less miles, chances of something being wrong on a car with that many miles are high

$8k for 99k miles? sounds like a deal to me!
Leather looks in good condidion-i noticed both head rests are missing seatbelt guides?

Front clip looks clean, but have a look when you see it in person-i noticed some scratches on the passenger headlamp cover.

I dont know about the miles. My WS6 only has 12k and Im having a load of problems already. The seat belt holders are removed... I would assume someone young owned it. From that if they are young they most likely beat on the car... I would test drive thoroughly before you make any decisions.

lol, that's another reason i mentioned the tranny could be shot-i pictured some young punk sloshing through the gears, tossing the car around and the guiders broke b/c of it.

Carfax is def a good idea when looking at a car to buy. Since I have been looking I have found so many turds out there. Call me crazy but I don't want to buy a car that has been wrecked or been in any kind of collision. It also shows what they did everytime the car was serviced.

That does sound good for auto trader.

I bought mine in sept of last year with 111k mile for $7K from a lady lol. Looked just like that one but with after market wheels.

car fax would be a must.

Personally, I'd carfax it of course, but also bring a friend along (preferably someone who knows something about cars) to look at it with you. I'm very bad about not trusting myself unless I have an immediate second opinion, and 9 times out of 10 when you're buying a used car, it's up to YOU to find out whats wrong with it, because the seller isn't telling.

There's a reason someone sold it in the first place when it hasn't even broken 100k yet, and there's a reason that a DEALER is listing it lower than most other T/A's/Camaro's with mileage well past 100k.

Not trying to be a downer, but that's at least a grand less than what I'd expect a dealer to list car like that in good condition. Seems he wants it off his lot.

I got mine with 110k miles on it for 6,500 and nothing was wrong with it. Sometimes people just price it to sell.

oh its a dealer? Well, maybe still priced to sell. but as others said, carfax and bring someone who knows cars with you to check it out.
