deffinatly a great deal, go for it, if it sat for 6 months no problems at all, how long do you think some cars sit at dealer ships?

I can't sell my 02 for 16K! (been on E bay twice and in autotrader for 2 months.) So I would offer less than 18K and check blue book.

My other friend has a 1998 black/black 6 spd. with 40k miles. He's the original owner and meticulously maintains it.
It's not a WS6 but has the Raptor Ram Air hood, cold air kit and a Borla. Should I consider that one instead for 10k and make it a WS7?
What's a better deal? I do like the black better (but I like the real WS6 better too), and I do plan to do a cam and head package and suspension work so I might be better off spending less on the car and doing the mods I want........right?

Not sure I understand your message. Are you being sarcastic (like burn your money not buying a real WS6?). Oh yeah I forgot, it has WS6 wheels already too.

Both cars sound good, you probably can't go wrong with either one.

It's just some suspension mods away from a WS7 right? Any HP difference in the 98 LS1 and the 2000 LS1 on a WS6?

Well I looked at the black one and I wasn't impressed. It had grey interior that didn't look that great, the engine and undercarriage was crappy looking cause the car was a daily driver for a while and it had 69k miles. I also didn't like the look of the steering column on the 1998 car. It was just an old metal round steering column like you'd see on an old caprice or something. Really ruined the look of the car.
So I brought the white one home last night. I'm definitely pleased with the WS6! Worth the extra money by far. First thing I did was give it a nice bath. It sounds awesome and runs superb! Needs a battery, that's it. It has a cold air kit, shift override and a custom 3" stainless exhaust with no cats or mufflers. I friggin love it. Great for my family too, (I have a 2 year old).

i got my mint 00 ws6 for 16.5 k with 17k miles, so i think, assuming everyhitng is PERFECT in that car, (Check for dry rot on the tires)that18k is a fair price for it... go for it man the white is nice

Congrats on yours. I'm falling madly in love with this car. It's super mint. There only problem from the long term storage was the battery was shot. The gas tank was empty. I checked all fluids filled it with Sunoco Ultra and it fired right up. No dry rot.
Window sticker was over $33k so I feel like my buddy's loss is my gain! I love the fact that I never see WS6s on the road.
