Need oppinion on LS1 build up.

Hi, I was thinking about buying an LS1 with alot of miles on it like 200k (for $5,000 or something) and either getting a different LS1 with 20k or less miles on it and dropping it in, or just taking the original motor and just putting in new internals, cams and all. But, the bad thing is, I am a 16 year old that doesn't know how to do major work to a motor. So, would I be able to do all of this and have it installed for under 10k total with the car and everything? PLEASE HELP! I have a Mustang GT and it's just not doing it for me at the moment haha. Any info. or other suggestions is greatly appreciated.

16 yo with no mechanical experience looking to rebuild an LS1? Seriously, good luck. You can buy the internals and have everything rebuilt and installed for less than 10k. You can also buy a brank new Shortblock and have your heads Ported and polished or get stage II heads and a new cam installed for less than 10k. Shop around, you'll find something

I've done it, pretty basic to be honest, but you have to have good engine knowledge, especially with clearances and tolerance issues to pull it off on top of the tools necessary to rebuild it
