    Need help with California smog regulations

    Hey everyone I am going to be removing my slp loudmouth catback exhaust on my 00 trans am and replacing it with gmmg exhaust, i want to go headers and exhaust, but what exactly is legal for california.........what would i need to go with headers and exhaust to make it california legal emissions? thanks for the help in advance.................stupid california!!!

    long tube headers are illegal. in cali if you move your catalytic converters you fail.

    All smog emissions must be in their stock location. If you change your exhaust it has to have a CARB #. As far as road regulations with aftermarket exhaust you can't surpass 90 db.

    My buddy lives in Glendora, he's got shorties and the slp loudmouth. He still passes every year. I guess shorties are better than anything?...

    There is not help in passing smog in cali unless your stock...unless you know some people who may own a smog shop who may just...well I'm going to leave it at that

    Talk to jim, when he did my headers i made sure that he knew a smog guy in town first. Hopefully he still does or my headers and cam have to be swapped out next march, which would not be good.

    I would just go with some pacesetter headers and something cheaper as far as exhaust goes that gmmg setup is way overpriced.
